Field Office Appointment Requests Public Service Bulletin

Purpose of Bulletin

To inform staff that FTB Field Offices will reopen on June 15, 2020, to assist customers by appointment only.

Background

The FTB’s field and public counter operations provide tax, filing, and payment assistance to taxpayers and their authorized representatives concerning personal income tax, business entity income tax, and non-tax debt. Due to the COVID-19 social distancing requirements, the field offices will now assist all customers by appointment only.

Additional Information

Customers can submit their appointment request by contacting the field office directly by telephone or by sending an email.

Taxpayer Inquiries

If you receive a contact regarding a request for a field office appointment, provide the customer with the telephone number to the nearest field office.

Another option is the customer can submit their appointment request to FTBFieldOfficeAppointments@ftb.ca.gov with the information below. The customer will be contacted within two business days of submitting the request.

• Customer’s name and telephone number
• Customer’s reason for an appointment
• Include location of field office in the subject line (Los Angeles, Oakland, Sacramento, San Diego or Santa Ana)
