Erroneous Notices for Tax Year 2023
Erroneous Notices for Tax Year 2023
It has been brought to our attention some taxpayers may have received notices for Tax Year 2023 in error.
Our normal operation is to mail these notices after we process tax returns and payments. The normal peak season notice release began the first week of June. Due to the postponement for San Diego County taxpayers to file and pay taxes until June 17, 2024, some notices may have inadvertently been released before our system processed the payments. This processing issue has now been resolved and taxpayer accounts should reflect the correct balance.
If you received a notice, please first check your MyFTB account to view your current balance prior to contacting the FTB. If your account reflects a $0 balance, no further action is needed.
If you are unable to access your MyFTB account or if you have questions, you may contact the FTB.
