Reason for the changes

The president has declared a major disaster for the following counties: Inyo, Kern, Kings, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Diego, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, and Tulare for the period of December 17, 2010, to January 4, 2011. However, no special legislation was enacted; therefore, the carryover period is limited to the NOL rules.

Also, if no special legislation was enacted or no extension was granted within the presidential declaration, the state throwback election may not be made on or before the later of the due date of the tax return with extensions. In addition, no extension was granted within the presidential declaration.

Impact

There is no tax impact.
