Amnesty Paying and Filing Requirements - June 10, 2005

Amnesty FAQs

  1. I was not able to pay all the taxes I owed during the amnesty period. I applied for and received an amnesty installment agreement. When must the balance be paid? If I missed a deadline, will I be penalized?

You must pay your outstanding amnesty installment agreement balance by the June 30, 2006, deadline. If you don't meet the deadline, we must revoke your amnesty. We must also reassess cancelled penalties and interest, and assess new amnesty penalties based on your balance at the time of default.

  2. FAQ referring to requirements for 2005 and 2006 deleted. It is no longer applicable due to Assembly Bill 911.

If you establish a tax amnesty installment agreement to pay your outstanding amnesty liability, it must be paid by June 30, 2006.
