EDR Collector Asset Alert Early Initiative

Purpose of bulletin

To advise staff beginning June 18, 2012, we will implement the Personal Income Tax (PIT) Collector Asset Alert.

Background

The collector asset alert notifies users about new payer information on a PIT case. This process provides proactive and reactive collectors additional information and allows them to respond efficiently to new or updated assets.

Additional information

New or updated assets are identified by the following:

  • The Case Collection History Window will display a coded collection history (CCH) line: “New payer added or existing payer updated.”
  • The Main Case Window in the “We Have” section will display “Updated Payer, Debtor ID: Payor ID.”
  • The follow up date will change for cases on a collector’s work list when new asset information is added.
