Return Information Notice - Code SS
We revised the claim for State Disability Insurance (SDI) or Voluntary Plan Disability Insurance (VPDI).
Why did I receive this notice code?
We revised your SDI credit to the maximum amount using your Forms W-2 or other wage documents.
You are eligible to claim a credit for excess State Disability Insurance (SDI) or Voluntary Plan Disability Insurance (VPDI) if you meet the following conditions:
- You had two or more California employers during 2013.
- You received more than $100,880 in wages.
- The amounts of SDI (or VPDI) withheld appear on your Forms W-2 or CA Schedule W-2.
What do I need to do?
Use your Forms W-2 to determine the amount of excess SDI. If you filed married filling joint, figure the amount of excess SDI (or VPDI) separately for each spouse.
If you agree with the revisions you do not need to contact us. Please update your records. If you have a revised balance due, pay the balance due.
If you do not agree, please contact us.
